Here’s the simple morning and night skincare routine I actually stick to every day. Honest products that work for my skin in LA weather.

I’m sharing my real everyday skincare routine so you don’t have to try a million products to figure out what actually works.

This is sponsored by Tower28, but I only recommend stuff I’ve used for months. My skin is combination — a bit oily in the T-zone, drier on the cheeks — and living in LA means I need lightweight formulas that handle sun, dry air, and long filming days.

Morning Routine (Takes Me About 7 Minutes)

I keep it short because mornings are busy.

l Gentle Cleanser: Tower28 SOS Daily Rescue Facial Cleanser. It removes overnight oil without stripping my skin. Super gentle and doesn’t leave that tight feeling.

l Vitamin C Serum: I use a stable vitamin C from Paula’s Choice. Two or three drops brighten my skin and help with dark spots from old breakouts.

l Moisturizer: Tower28 SOS Barrier Relief Cream. Lightweight but actually hydrating. It calms redness and feels comfortable under makeup.

l Sunscreen: EltaMD UV Clear SPF 46. No white cast, doesn’t pill, and doesn’t make me break out. This step is non-negotiable in LA.

Night Routine (My Wind-Down Time)

This is where I focus on repair.

l Oil Cleanser (Double Cleanse): I start with Tower28’s cleansing balm if I wore makeup or sunscreen. It melts everything off easily.

l Water-Based Cleanser: Same SOS Daily Rescue Cleanser again.

l Treatment: A few nights a week I use a gentle retinol from Differin or a hydrating serum from Tower28. On other nights I skip actives.

l Moisturizer: Again the SOS Barrier Relief Cream, sometimes layered with a thicker cream if my skin feels dry.

l Lip Treatment: I always finish with Tower28 lip balm because LA air dries my lips out fast.

What I’ve Learned After a Year

Consistency matters more than having 10 steps. I used to overdo it and my skin would get irritated. Now I stick to 4–5 products max per routine. Tower28 products work well for sensitive skin and don’t have strong fragrances, which I appreciate.

I’ve noticed less redness, fewer random breakouts, and my skin feels more balanced overall. Nothing dramatic, just steady improvement.

Keep this simple routine. Gentle cleansing, good hydration, and daily SPF make the biggest difference. The Tower28 SOS line has become my staple — effective without feeling heavy. What’s one product you can’t live without in your routine? Tell me in the comments!
