Okay, so I put together my real capsule wardrobe of 10 everyday pieces so you don’t have to guess what actually gets worn the most.
These items form the core of my closet. I reach for them multiple times a week because they fit well, mix easily, and feel comfortable from morning to night.
My 10 Essential Pieces
Here’s the list with why I love each one and how I size them.
1.White Crewneck Tee
Everlane, size XS. Medium weight cotton that doesn’t go see-through. I own three of these.
2.Oversized Blazer
Zara or similar, size S. Beige or black. It balances my shoulders and looks good open or closed.
3.Light-Wash Straight Jeans
Madewell or thrifted vintage, size 28. Ankle length that works with sneakers or loafers.
4.Chunky White Sneakers
Adidas Samba, size 7. Comfortable for walking all day and still looks clean.
5.Black Ribbed Tank
Everlane, size XS. Perfect length to tuck or leave out. Layering essential.
6.Wide-Leg Cropped Pants
Abercrombie, size 4. Black or beige. Hides hips nicely and feels breezy in LA weather.
7.Beige Button-Up Shirt
Uniqlo or Mango, size XS. Lightweight and easy to throw over tanks or tees.
8.Little Black Slip Dress
Reformation, size 2. Simple shape I can dress up or down with layers.
9.Small Leather Crossbody Bag
Mansur Gavriel style. Neutral color that goes with everything.
10.Black Loafers
Everlane or similar, size 7. Easy slip-on for days I don’t want sneakers.

How I Mix These 10 Pieces
Most days I only need to pick three or four from this list. For example:
White tee + blazer + straight jeans + sneakers = easy weekday look
Black tank + wide-leg pants + button-up open + loafers = comfortable errands outfit
Slip dress + blazer + crossbody = quick dinner plans
I can create more than 20 different outfits from just these items. That means less decision fatigue and fewer clothes sitting unused.
Why This Capsule Works for Me
I focus on pieces that add balance on top and give room on the bottom. Most items are neutral so they match without effort. I buy good quality basics instead of trendy pieces that only last one season.
This list saves me time and money. I shop less because I know what I actually wear. Everything washes well and travels easily too.
Start with similar basics that fit your body and lifestyle, then build from there. Once you have them, getting dressed becomes simple and stress-free.
