Saturday in LA: Farmers Market + Vintage Shopping + Content Day

Saturday in LA: Farmers Market + Vintage Shopping + Content Day
A full day in my life in Los Angeles — early farmers market run, vintage hunting, and afternoon content shooting. Real and relaxed weekend vibes.

I’m walking you through a typical Saturday in LA so you can see how I actually spend my weekends.

Saturday mornings are my favorite. I wake up around 7:30, make coffee, and head out while the city is still quiet.

Morning at the Farmers Market

I usually start at the Silver Lake Farmers Market. By 8:30 I’m already walking around with my reusable bags. The flowers are always the first stop — this week I grabbed a big bunch of pink ranunculus and some eucalyptus. They make the whole loft smell nice and look good in photos.

After flowers I pick up fresh strawberries, avocados, and whatever bread looks good. I try to buy what’s in season so the food actually tastes better. I ran into a friend who sells homemade hot sauce and grabbed a bottle. Total spend was around $45, which feels like a good way to start the weekend.

I wore my usual weekend uniform: white tee, light-wash straight jeans, beige blazer, and chunky white sneakers. Simple and comfortable for walking and carrying bags.

Vintage Shopping in Echo Park

Around 10:30 I drove over to Echo Park. There are a few good thrift stores clustered together. I spent almost two hours digging through racks.

I found a great oversized denim shirt for $18 and a pair of barely-worn black wide-leg trousers for $25. The best score was a vintage cream button-up with tiny blue flowers — perfect for layering. Nothing crazy expensive, but all pieces that will mix with what I already own.

I always try things on in the store because sizing can be unpredictable with vintage. This time everything fit on the first try, which almost never happens.

Back Home for Content Day

I got back to the loft around 1pm. After a quick lunch I set up for content. I laid out the new vintage finds plus some pieces I’m testing for next week’s streams. The natural light in the living room is perfect in the afternoon.

I shot a few “one piece, three ways” looks and some casual try-ons. Nothing rushed — I took breaks to edit photos and answer comments. By 5pm I had enough material for two blog posts and some Instagram content.

The whole day felt productive but not stressful. I ended up cooking a simple dinner with the stuff I bought in the morning and watched a show while folding laundry.

What I Learned from These Saturdays

Keeping this routine helps me stay balanced. The market keeps me grounded, vintage shopping feeds my creativity, and content day turns it all into work I actually enjoy. Some Saturdays I skip one part and just relax, but this mix feels right most weeks.

Bottom line: This is how I like to spend my Saturdays in LA — fresh flowers, good finds, and steady content work. It’s simple, affordable, and recharges me for the week ahead. If you live in LA or visit, try building your own version of this day. Let me know in the comments what your perfect weekend looks like! I might steal some ideas.
